The Golf course has now closed to the public.
Due to the current lockdown the Reading Golf Club course has been opened to the public as courses across the country have shut to regular members playing golf. It’s certainly the first time that the entire course has been opened in many locals’ memories.
It’s a really great (and rare) opportunity to see somewhere that you might not have previously experienced. Without walking the course, it’s difficult to get an impression as to the size of the open space being talked about, as well as the quality of the views.
With no idea when the course will re-open to regular golf, or close to the public, take an hour to walk through as soon as you can.
You can enter via the entrance to the clubhouse at Kidmore Road, as well as Highdown Hill Road. Please follow the guidance that RGC have posted at all the entrances.
